Masked Men Break Into Windsor Castle Estate, Steal Vehicles.
Two masked men infiltrated the Windsor Castle estate last month, making off with two vehicles in a daring nighttime heist, the *Sun* newspaper reported.
The incident occurred late on October 13, when the intruders used a stolen truck to force their way through a security gate before scaling a six-foot fence to access the premises. Once inside, they targeted a barn on Crown Estate land, stealing a black Isuzu pick-up truck and a red quad bike.
According to Thames Valley Police, officers responded to reports of the burglary just before midnight. “Offenders entered a farm building and made off with a black Isuzu pick-up and a red quad bike. They then made off towards the Old Windsor/Datchet area,” a police spokesperson stated.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no arrests have been made so far.
While King Charles and Queen Camilla were not present at the estate during the incident, it is believed that Prince William and his family were at Adelaide Cottage, which is part of the Windsor Castle estate.
This breach of security comes after a previous alarming incident in 2021, when a man armed with a crossbow was apprehended on the castle grounds after expressing intentions to harm Queen Elizabeth.
Windsor Castle, a historic and frequently visited royal residence, has seen heightened concerns about security in recent years. The authorities continue to investigate and emphasize the need for robust measures to protect the estate and its residents.
