A man dubbed Zimbabwe’s own “Baltasar” faced violent retribution from a group of enraged husbands after being accused of having affairs with their wives.
The man was cornered and flogged by members of the Mapostori sect, who sought to take justice into their own hands.
Footage shared by Crimewatch Zimbabwe on X (formerly Twitter) captured the dramatic scene. The video shows the man being restrained and beaten with rubber sticks by several men as onlookers recorded the encounter.
Amid the chaos, one of the attackers can be heard demanding, “How many women have you slept with, and why did you do it?” This interrogation, interspersed with blows, painted a picture of vigilante justice in action.
Reports suggest that the man’s alleged infidelities were exposed after some women confided that their marriages lacked satisfaction, prompting their involvement with him. However, this revelation led to swift and brutal consequences at the hands of their husbands.
