Keanu Reeves’ $9,000 Rolex Stolen in Los Angeles, Recovered in Chile.
Chilean authorities have recovered three luxury watches, including a Rolex Submariner, stolen from Keanu Reeves’ Los Angeles home in December 2023.
The 21-year-old suspect arrested in connection with the thefts was part of a larger robbery spree, CNN reports.
The Rolex Submariner, valued at approximately $9,000, was engraved with Reeves’ name and a personal message reading “2021, JW4, thank you, The John Wick Five.”
Police recovered the watch during an operation in eastern Santiago. Alongside the Rolex, officers seized other valuable jewelry and timepieces.
Reeves famously gifted Rolex Submariners to the stunt team of John Wick: Chapter 4 in 2021. The irony is not lost, as the John Wick franchise centers on Reeves’ character seeking revenge after a home invasion results in personal loss.
The incident comes on the heels of a larger theft in July when robbers stole $4.5 million worth of luxury items from the Doheny Estates, a wealthy area near Beverly Hills. The thieves took 41 collectible watches from brands like Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, and Rolex, along with high-end handbags, CBS reports.
The burglars reportedly shattered a glass door to gain entry, disabled the wifi to cut surveillance, but triggered an alarm that alerted security.
Despite this, the suspects fled before authorities arrived. Witnesses captured video footage of the suspects escaping in a white Jeep SUV, though the vehicle’s license plate was later found to be stolen.
The investigation into both cases continues.
