Kaduna Court Ends 45-Year Marriage Over Infidelity Claims.
A Shari’a Court in Magajin Gari, Kaduna State, has officially dissolved the 45-year marriage of Alhaji Ilani and Halima Ilani, following allegations of infidelity.
The presiding judge, Anas Khalifa, validated the divorce after reconciliation efforts failed.
Halima, the complainant, revealed in court that her husband accused her of cheating in front of their children, an allegation she found deeply hurtful.
Despite enduring two decades of emotional and marital neglect, she stated her decision to seek divorce was final, adding, “I am now old, and I don’t have energy for these kinds of things.”
The court upheld the defendant’s pronouncement of divorce, formalizing the end of their decades-long union.
