Donald Trump Buys Tesla Model S to Show Support for Elon Musk.
Washington – In a bold move to demonstrate his support for Tesla and its CEO Elon Musk, U.S. President Donald Trump has purchased a red Tesla Model S.
The 78-year-old leader made the public purchase outside the White House, choosing from a lineup of several Tesla vehicles.
“When I saw what was happening, I said that I wanted to buy a Tesla. We just went to the front, there were four beautiful cars there, and I bought one right in front of the press. It was a very public purchase, and they’re beautiful cars that do a great job,” Trump told reporters.
His decision comes amid declining Tesla sales, stock fluctuations, and increasing scrutiny over Musk’s influence on government affairs. The purchase is seen as a strategic endorsement for the American electric vehicle giant.
Why the Tesla Model S Stands Out
The Tesla Model S, first introduced in 2012, is known for its high-end features and cutting-edge technology. Over the years, it has received multiple updates, enhancing its performance and user experience.
Equipped with a high-resolution touchscreen and state-of-the-art safety features, the Model S competes with the best in the electric vehicle market. Its advanced autopilot system and full self-driving capability allow automatic lane changes, navigation from on-ramp to off-ramp, and self-parking. For those who prefer a futuristic feel, Tesla offers an optional yoke-style steering wheel inspired by Formula 1 cars.
The vehicle boasts a massive 17-inch touchscreen with a left-right tilt function, featuring a 2200 x 1300 resolution for superior clarity. Rear passengers also benefit from an independent display, enabling them to enjoy movies and games while on the road.
Tesla’s Sentry Mode is an advanced security system that uses built-in cameras and sensors to monitor the surroundings, sending alerts if any suspicious activity is detected. The Model S also features an air filtration system capable of removing pollutants, allergens, and even some bacteria and viruses.
The redesigned second-row seating comfortably accommodates three adults, offering additional legroom and headroom. It also includes a foldable armrest with integrated storage and wireless charging capabilities.
For driving enthusiasts, the Model S offers two acceleration modes: Sport and Chill. The high-performance Plaid variant features Drag Strip Mode, achieving 0-60 mph acceleration in just two seconds, making it one of the fastest production cars in the world.
The vehicle also includes a premium 22-speaker, 960-watt audio system with active road noise reduction, providing a studio-quality sound experience. Additionally, the Model S offers multiple steering modes, including Standard, Comfort, and Sport, to suit different driving preferences.
Will the Tesla Model S Be Available in Other Markets?
The Tesla Model S is expected to launch in additional international markets, with pricing starting around $80,000. As electric vehicle adoption increases worldwide, Tesla continues to expand its presence, making its flagship sedan more accessible to global customers.
With Trump’s public endorsement, Tesla gains another high-profile supporter at a time when the company is navigating economic challenges and increased competition in the EV industry.
